A consummate professional and a true music lover, Monica is synonymous with Latin music. Throughout an impressive career that has spanned more than 20 years, she has amassed an enviable list of contacts, spearheaded press campaigns for artists of the caliber of Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, Paulina Rubio and Alejandro Fernandez, and held key positions at top-tier companies like Sony and Universal Music Latino.
After years spent at major record labels, Monica co-founded her own firm, The 3 Collective, now considered one of the top PR companies in the United States dedicated to the Latin market. The firm’s diverse client roster boasts such names as Juanes, Gloria Trevi, Bomba Estéreo, Mariana Vega, Becky G, among others. Monica holds a B.A. in communications from the Universidad de la Sabana in her native Bogotá, Colombia.
A founding partner of The 3 Collective, Dario brings an unrivaled business acumen coupled with a creative spirit to the firm. Dario started his media career at renowned agency ‘D Baron Media’ right in the middle of the Latin pop explosion and quickly earned his publicist title; this rapid rise through the ranks meant that in just two years time he has handling media responsibilities on high-profile national tours for A-list Latin artists including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Alejandro Sanz, and Jaguares.
2008 was an very uncertain time due to a deep recession, nevertheless Dario used his finance abilities to secure a business loan to start his own venture, joining forces with Monica Escobar to create The 3 Collective. Today, Dario continues to apply that knowledge and confidence to the firm’s financials, guiding the company through a long-term growth strategy that includes expansion into multiple sectors of the industry beyond music. Dario holds a B.A. in journalism from the ‘Universidad Latina in Costa Rica.’
In the 2008 recession, three entrepreneurially minded friends with a true passion for music founded a boutique public relations firm looking to service the highly coveted yet rarely understood bilingual Latin market. Armed with their more than 25 years of combined professional experience in the Latin music industry, founding partners Monica Escobar, Dario Molina and Julio Trejo set up shop in downtown Los Angeles. Their goal from the beginning was to go beyond servicing established acts.
